Holiday Humbug

Creating for sales during the holiday season presents a unique and multifaceted challenge. While my major objective isn't purely commercial, the demand for thoughtful, functional gifts naturally increases during this time, and I strive to keep my pottery both unique and practical to meet that growing need. This careful balancing act often sparks dilemmas about how much to prioritize market trends versus dedicating time to artistic exploration and innovation. With January just around the corner, I look forward to shifting my focus back to creating more experimental pieces that allow me to push boundaries and further develop my personal style in pottery, free from the typical constraints and expectations that come with holiday sales.

I humbly thank you all for your support, patronage and conversation during my first year of sales. It has been a wonderful ride.
